We are a non-denominational, independent, elder-led church. We have appointed biblical elders (Acts 20:17-28; 1 Peter 5:2; Titus 1:5-9). We appoint elders because leadership can’t be based on popularity. Based on 1 Timothy 3:1-7 an elder must be male, desire the job, and met the job description outlined in scripture.
Elder responsibilities include developing and overseeing theological doctrine, philosophical and spiritual direction. They can also hire and terminate key staff positions, approve and oversee the budget, building and grounds as well as foreign missions.
We have a very specific process to identify and train our elders, please refer to your 101 Membership manual or consider attending a 101 class if you have any questions.

John Givens (Chairman of the Elders)
