Time Commitment: 1-2 hours a week
Job Description: Contacts people who are interested in serving in student ministries and helps move them to the next step in getting connected.
Skills needed: People skills, basic computer skills, phone etiquette, and passion for people to be connected. We will train on specifics of connection process.


2) Employment Ministry Volunteers

Time Commitment: 2-6 hours a month
Job Description: Assist others with skills assessment, resume’ writing, interview skills, help coordinate and host workshops, run A/V equipment and more!
Skills: Friendly and outgoing, willingness to help others, some experience in the above description is helpful.


3) Technical Director/Switcher – Worship Arts

Time Commitment: 3 – 10 hours twice a month on weekends
Job Description: Operates production switcher to control which video elements are seen on screen during weekend services and other live events.
Skills Needed: Ability to run a switcher – experience necessary.


4) Connections Central Team Members
Friday & Sunday Services

Time Commitment: 30 minutes a weekend (15 min. prior to service and 15 min. after service)
Job Description: This team is the pulse of the lobby. They help to connect members who want to be in a home group and those who are interested in serving in a ministry.
Skills Needed: outgoing, friendly, ability to ask questions to discern where God might be leading someone to serve.


5) Baptism Volunteers
Fridays

Time Commitment: Every Friday at the end of 2nd service
Job Description: Assist people who are being baptized by completing their information on green cards, showing them where to get changed, encouraging and supporting them if they are nervous, line them up in order of baptism, clean up towels etc after baptisms.
Skills Needed: Desire to make people feel at ease and show enthusiasm about their baptism!

3) Thrift Store Receivers
Time Commitment: Tue – Sat 1 pm to 5 pm & Sun – 9 to 2 (this could be one Sunday a month if we get enough volunteers)
Job Description: Strong able bodied MEN to lift and move donated items of all sorts – boxes, furniture, bags, appliances etc.
Skills Needed: Must be strong, able to lift and twist, friendly & help people unload their vehicles.


4) Camera Operators

Time Commitment: 3 – 10 hours twice a month on weekends
Job Description: Operates production cameras during weekend services and other live events.
Skills Needed: Passion for ministry and desire to learn. We will train on our equipment.

1) Hair Stylists for Community Day

Time Commitment: August 15 from 2-5pm
Job Description: Willing to cut kids hair for three hours during the event at one of our locations throughout our community, Canfield Middle School, Lakeland High School, RLM Post Falls and North Spokane at 920 E Hoerner (near WinCo on the North side).
Skills Needed: Must be a licensed hair stylist

1) Kids Camp - Cabin Volunteer

Time Commitment: August 23rd-27th in Medical Lake, Washington
Job Description: Lead a group of kids for a week at camp (Monday-Friday). You will be teamed up with another volunteer and be given a group of 7-10 kids (age and gender specific).
Needed to serve: Every volunteer for our kids camp must attend our Real Life Kids volunteer Orientation (which includes a background check and references) as well as complete the 101 Process and become a member at Real Life. We have a camp training August 8th from 1:30-3:30 that is mandatory for all cabin volunteers. Register online at reallifeministries.com under the Real Life Kids section if you are interested.


2) Hair Stylists for Community Day

Time Commitment: August 15 from 2-5pm

Job Description: Controls text for songs, scriptures and any still graphics during weekend services and other live events.
Skills Needed: Computer skills; we will train on our equipment.


5) Information Booth/Connecting Point Volunteer
Sunday 8:30am & 11:30am

Time Commitment: 90 minutes to cover the entire service
Job Description: Assist members and visitors by answering questions. Provide information, and directions for events and happenings at weekend services and throughout the week at Real Life Ministries. First Time Visitors are given special attention here.
Skills Needed: The desire to serve others, to know information about our church happenings and how to find out if not.

3) Male Food Room Driver
Monday

Time Commitment: Weekly Monday’s from 8am to 12noon. On call other days of the week.
Job Description: Drive the church van to pick up food in Spokane from 2nd Harvest for our food room.
Skills Needed: Valid drivers license, we must be able to add you to the church insurance. Also able to lift, twist, load and unload the food van.


4) Connections Central Team Members

Time Commitment: 30 minutes a weekend (15 min. prior to service and 15 min. after service)

5) Events Coordinator

Time Commitment: 1 hour a week (flexible).
Job Description: Gathers details and makes arrangement for a variety of events of all sizes. Coordinates with ministry leaders, outside companies/people, and the student ministries admin to ensure items are in place by the appropriate time.
Skills needed: People skills and an eye for detail.

1) Adventure Kids Small Group Leader
Friday or Sunday Services
Time Commitment: 1 1/2 hours a week
Job Description: Lead a consistent group of elementary kids through discussion page in conjunction with lesson for the week. Help with miscellaneous tasks in the room to create a winning ministry environment.
Skills Needed: Love for kids, love for Jesus. Must attend RLK Orientation and 101 before serving. Will train for specifics of this ministry role.

Time Commitment: 1 hour during one of our 5 weekend services-currently recruiting for summer months
Job Description: Be one of eight people to join our Prayer Leaders in the prayer room during one of the service to pray for those who are leading worship, those who are coming to worship and each of the teams that are serving during that hour.
Skills Needed: We are looking for people who make prayer a priority in their lives and who see the importance of bathing each service in prayer.


5) Greeters
Fridays at 5:30pm & 7pm and Sundays 11:30am
Time Commitment: 40 minutes a weekend, no prep
Job Description: Greet all those coming into the church building, make them feel welcome and hand out the weekend bulletin.
Skills Needed: A warm smile, a welcoming attitude.
