Administrative Coordinator for the Men’s, Women’s, and Life Group Teams – Post Falls Campus
My Family: Husband of 24 years, Tony. Son – Brad. Daughter – Mariah and son-in-law, Tyler. Grandson and ‘Apple of my Eye’ – Kyler.
My Story: I was raised in a Christian home, but as is so often the case, I strayed from my faith as a teenager. It was not until after the birth of my son, and God’s revelation to me that I would be an intricate part of my son’s eternal destination, that I recommitted my life to Jesus. My husband, (who was not raised as a Christian) and I were baptized together 20 years ago. I was a stay-at-home mom for 15 years before going to work for my family’s business as the Office Manager/Bookkeeper for nine years.
In 2008 my son joined the Army. At this, my faith was rocked to its very foundation. It was during this period that I learned what true surrender meant. God wrestled from me what I held dearer than Him. I had come to a point in my life where I realized I had no control over a situation that could literally destroy me. I had no choice but to fully place my faith in Christ, come what may.
My son returned from a year in Afghanistan with severe P.T.S.D. and so the journey continues. It is a moment to moment faith walk, but this I have learned, God is always faithful, his plans for my family are to prosper us, not to harm us, to give us hope and a future. Thank you Father!
Favorite Verse: “This is My command – be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9. It gives me great comfort and peace to know that I am never alone, I have not been abandoned, that I do not fight my battles unaided.
Food: I am a meat and potatoes kind of gal. I was raised that a meal was never complete unless gravy was involved, therefore my favorite meal is turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing drowned in gravy. Pure comfort!
Quote: “What we do in this life echoes in eternity.” Maximus Decimus Meridius.
Hobby: My grandson and camping.
Exercise: I am a member of a comedic, precision dance/drill team called the Red Hot Mamas. I practice/workout three nights a week. Last year I had the privilege of participating in the Macy’s Day Thanksgiving Parade in New York City. I also enjoy taking walks and hiking with my husband and three Chihuahuas.
Smell: Roasting turkey on Thanksgiving morning.
