HOSPITALITY

The purpose of hospitality is to practically depict and model the heart of Christ towards His creation and His church by making each person feel: welcomed, wanted, and loved.

AREAS TO SERVE

As a member of the hospitality team, you are an instrumental part of the mission of Christ and Real Life Ministries as you:
Serve the body of Christ • Create a welcoming and loving environment • Display the kindness and love of the Father • Connect with attendees, guests, and other volunteers serving with you • Support the overall vision and mission of the church

GREETER

ROLE:
A Greeter meets each church guest with a friendly demeanor and greeting so that each guest feels welcomed, wanted, and loved. Greeting at church is an important function that contributes to the church’s vision: reaching the world for Jesus, one person at a time.

EXPECTATION:
Greeters get the unique opportunity to make the first impression for new guests. Let’s work together to make sure that we create a neighborly environment for our members and a first impression that encourages the new guest to return. Each Greeter is responsible for welcoming church guests during their scheduled service.

SET-UP/TEAR-DOWN

ROLE:
Set-up/tear-down evening volunteers create the before-service environment.

EXPECTATION:
Volunteers serving in this area set-up and tear-down the lobby and outdoor environments prior to services. This may include: outdoor flag set up, lobby organization, and the table set-up used for evening service dinners. As Moses set up the tabernacle, per God’s instruction, to create a space for God’s glory to reside, and for the nation of Israel to meet with and glorify God, so do we create a space for the Church to fellowship and glorify God together. Set-up and tear-down is not merely concerned about tables and chairs, but about the environment that is created while utilizing those items.
